Attn: PURE STOCK CAR OWNERS AND DRIVERS!!!
In relation to tires, how many of you would be interested in going to a unified tire rule? Southwest Speed sells a 26.0x15x8.0 tire for 70 bucks with same tread pattern as imca g60 tires. This would save about $200 on a set. Possibly a suggestion for new rules and add 50 lb weight break for anyone running street radials. What ya'll think?

Anything that will actually save money is nice, but need to do some research and testing and make sure the tires will be of a savings. Street radials have indeed gone up, but from my experience with the IMCA tires (I know that isnt what you are referring to) that some have proposed is that they will not last even 1/4 the time of a street radial. Just because initial cost is cheaper, if they have to be replaced 5 times more often, then I don't see the savings.

Racer 2: I agree 100%, as far as the research I've done, people claim they last up to 5 times longer than Hoosiers and A.R.'s. I'm probably gonna order one just to mount it and check diameter, durometer, and see how it works out on a 10 inch wheel. No point in going to this if everybody has to buy new wheels, but I think they'll work out ok being as the radials we all have now are meant to be put on 8" wheels.
